With a colourful history dating back to the 17th century, and talk of a spirit or two dwelling in the pub and dining room, Hartford Hall Hotel is the perfect destination for great food, drink and maybe a tale or two by the open fire.
Originally a 17th century nunnery and former manor house, the pub has recently seen a substantial refurbishment, retaining many of its original features including oak beams and open fires. Located in 3 and a half acres of Cheshire countryside, the pub and dining room is conveniently located between Chester and Manchester, allowing easy access to Manchester Airport.
Legend has it that the pub is reportedly haunted by the ghost of a nun, who met a tragic end at a nearby abbey. She has been seen by guests and staff alike and is thought to be responsible for many unexplained occurrences.
The food menu offers a wide range of delicious meals from bar snacks, sandwiches and sizzling steaks, through to a full home-made Sunday roast (best accompanied by a pint of one of our ales!).
The adjacent hotel, comprising of 20 en-suite rooms, offers all the comfort a weary traveller may need. A full English breakfast, served in the pub, is included in our room rate and is cooked fresh to order from 7am til 9am Monday to Friday (8am til 10am weekends).
Real Ale and delicious food in a charming pub!
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
